Like its predecessor the LS-10, the LS-11 features uncompressed 24 bit/96kHz Linear PCM recording capability, to capture the rich, dynamic sound quality of music performances like a studio in your pocket. It has the versatility to record and play back in the WAV, MP3 and WMA formats and can record with its internal microphone or by plugging in an external microphone. The LS-11 features a Voice Synchronize Recording function, which extends recording time by recording only when the microphone senses sound at the pre-set level. When the recording is played back later, avoid listening to dead air because it has only picked up the performance.

If they are currently running Version 6, they must first upgrade to version 7 then from version 7 to Standard version

DSS Player standard has the look and feel of DSS Player Pro, but without all the professional features.

Digital Speech Standard (.dss), a digital speech recording standard jointly developed by Grundig, Olympus and Philips 10 years ago, has established itself as the de facto speech standard for professional applications. This speech standard answered the need for high-quality, professional dictation and speech solutions for the modern digital information society. Offering high audio quality for spoken language, .dss allows a high compression rate, making it easy to manage audio files in the workflow system and to exchange them by e-mail. Joint Standard Guarantees Compatibility and Additional Features With .dss, Grundig, Olympus and Philips established the foundations for simple fast and above all, standardised processing of digitised speech today. Based on an idea from Philips, Grundig developed the first .dss codec (encoder/decoder) in 1994 with the University of Nuremberg. The digital speech standard, with its special compression technology introduced in 1997 as the result of a joint development,
is based on this earlier codec. The introduction of .dss marked the establishment of a compatibility standard for digital audio files in speech format that drastically reduces both file size and transfer volume for speech recordings. In addition to the special compression technology, it provides extensive extra features for processing digital speech recordings. For instance, speech files in .dss format are ideal for efficient processing in complex workflow / work processes.

The highly successful SpeechMike concept features a dictation microphone, playback speaker, dictation control, and PC navigation in a single device. In addition to a range of new functions, the SpeechMike Air design is immediately striking: its elegant yet robust casing, enlarged function buttons and streamlined shape have been specifically tailored to the needs of heavy dictation users. Recording quality has been further improved, making the SpeechMike Air the ultimate device for use with speech recognition technology. In addition to the audio device, the SpeechMike Air system includes the SpeechMike Airport docking station. The docking station is connected to the PC and allows for data transfer as well as recharging. It also houses the SpeechMike AirBridge receiver module which handles the speech data from the dictation device-wirelessly from a range of up to 10 meters. The SpeechMike AirBridge receiver module can also be used when detached from the docking station. For example, the AirBridge is connected via USB cable to a laptop computer, allowing the user to dictate with the SpeechMike Air in the usual way and affording maximum mobility. Data transfer is encrypted and bug-proof and takes place via Bluetooth technology using a specially developed redundant data transmission protocol. If the user goes beyond the reception range with the SpeechMike, the device gives a vibrating signal.

The SpeechMike Air package comes with a range of high-quality accessories, including a leather case, international power adapter and rechargeable batteries, a Specially developed headset (optional) can also be connected directly to the SpeechMike Air, delivering outstanding speech recognition results even in exceptionally noisy environments thanks to its noise-cancelling microphone.

The full potential of the SpeechMike Air can be exploited in conjunction with the SpeechExec Pro and SpeechExec Enterprise digital dictation management solutions or when integrated with industry systems, for example in the medical or legal sectors. Integration is supported by a separate Software Development Kit (SDK).
